This fall, there’s no better place in Northern Virginia to run, walk or jog than the beautiful Reston Town Center. Bring your family to the 3rd annual Anthem Great Pumpkin 5k Run and have a pumpkin-tastic time. Your kids will love the Kids Pumpkin Dash and the Pumpkin Decorating contest. You’ll love the pedestrian-friendly environment, restaurants, live entertainment and more. Plus, after the race, see The Greatest Pumpkin in Virginia and enjoy the festivities at the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce’s Oktoberfest.
Oktoberfest Scrambled Legs Breakfast
Join the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce for the post race breakfast designed to prepare you for the festivities of Oktoberfest Reston 2011. Several Oktoberfest food vendors will open their tents at 8:30 AM to serve your refueling needs with carbohydrates and protein! Purchase your Oktoberfest tickets when you register for the race online. Tickets are 6 for $5 or 24 for $20. The beer garden will also be open for a post-race beverage! NOTE: you must show your ID to purchase alcohol.
Oktoberfest Reston, produced by the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, will be held at beautiful Reston Town Center on Friday, October 7 through Sunday, October 11. This popular festival features the best in fall brews with delicious traditional Oktoberfest fare from area restaurants, live entertainment, and a 3 day carnival. Oktoberfest food and beverage tickets may be purchased with your race registration. Ticket price for runners is 6 tickets for $5 or in sheets of 24 tickets for $20. Admission is free. Volunteers Information
Volunteers are an important part of making this event a success.
There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer with the 3rd Annual Anthem Great Pumpkin 5K, some don't even require waking up early, and all of them will get you a free t-shirt!
We also have some great raffle prizes that all volunteers will have a chance to win. Passes to the Festival of Lights, Water Parks and Sports Tickets, just to name a few!
No experience necessary, just a willingness to show up and have fun.
